Sammy Wineford Morgan, Jr., 55, of Claude, Texas died Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in Claude, Texas.
Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, November 10, 2023 in the First Baptist Church in Memphis, Texas with Rev. Daniel Downey, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
Viewing will be held Thursday from 1:00-5:00 PM at Robertson's in Claude.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors.
Sammy was born August 9th 1968 in Russellville Arkansas to Patsy and Sammy Morgan Sr.
Sammy married the love of his life, Delia Maldonado on September 4th 1993 in Memphis where they were married for 30 years. Sammy drove a semi truck for most of his life and proudly served in the US Navy for 4 years. Sammy loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren which everyone knows were his world. Sammy was a selfless man, he was always willing to help anyone who needed it. Sammy was an avid cowboys and Longhorns fan, he also loved watching NASCAR.
He was preceded in death by his Dad, Sammy Morgan Sr.
Survivors include his wife Delia Morgan of Claude; his son, Samuel Morgan and wife Brooklyn Morgan of Claude; his daughters, Heather Morgan of San Antonio, Nikki Holmes and husband AJ Holmes of Lubbock; 5 grandchildren, Kenady, Kara, and Karter all of Lubbock, Callie and Cade of Claude; his mother, Patsy Morgan; and three sisters, Vanessa Forbes and husband, James, Stephanie Lilley and husband, Kelton, and Dianne Findlay; and numerous nieces and nephews.
