SERVICES – 2:00 PM Saturday, October 31, 2015 in Robertson Funeral Directors Heritage Chapel in Memphis with Tom Anderson, officiating.
INTERMENT – Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
ARRANGEMENTS - Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Visitation will be from 5:00-6:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Ruby was born May 31, 1916 in Hereford to Dave and Emma Norvell. She married Frank Ross Gentry on December 8, 1940 in Memphis. She had been a lifetime resident of Memphis and was a school teacher prior to her retirement. She enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, and loved being a Memom. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Memphis. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the Gardens in Childers Place and Hospice of Southwest for their loving care and being a part of our extended family for the past couple of years.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – her parents; her husband in 2006; and a daughter, Shari Patterson.
SURVIVORS- 2 sons, Gary Gentry and wife Judy of Memphis, and Mark Gentry and wife Alexis of Lubbock; a daughter, Paula Allen and husband George of Canyon; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
MEMORIALS- The family request memorials be sent to the Fairview Cemetery Association in Memphis or Hospice of Southwest in Amarillo.
