Ruby Craig's Obituary
Ruby Craig of Wheeler entered Heaven on Dec. 29, 2020 at the age of 85 where she was met by so many loved ones.
She was born on March 29, 1935 to Grady and Wilma Gilmer. Ruby worked for Allison ISD cooking delicious meals for all the kids that she loved seeing every day. She loved her children, but when the grandkids started arriving, there’s where her heart was over filled with joy and happiness. She loved her pets and any stray that came by. It didn’t take long for word to get out as to where the good food and the comfy couch was, which she would gladly give up to any of her pets or any cat or dog that stopped by for a visit. She loved the people in Allison, and the love that each of you showed her over the years will always be remembered.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Wilma (Giddens) Gilmer and her only son, Jimmy DeBauche, and her first grandchild, Tanner McWhorter.
She is survived by one sister, Joy Taylor and husband Nathan of News Braunfels, TX; 3 daughters: Rhonda McWhorter and husband Billy of Wheeler; Susan Finney of Wheeler; Lisa Dotson and husband Tom of Amarillo. Her cherished grandchildren: Tyler McWhorter, Ryan Farmer, Matthew Farmer and wife Amanda, Cory Farmer, Samantha (Finney) Jackson and husband Josh, and Jesse Finney. She had 3 great grandchildren: Kenzlee Farmer, Adam Farmer and Holden Dzik.
Cremation & Arrangements are made by Robertson Funeral Directors of Wheeler. We will honor Mom’s wishes to be cremated and to only have a private family memorial service at a later date. Inurnment will take place next to her son and parents at Zybach Cemetery in Briscoe, TX
