CLAUDE SERVICES - 10:00 am on Monday, October 18, 2010 in the First Baptist Church in Claude with Rev. Dick Gravley, officiating. INTERMENT - Claude Cemetery in Claude. Arrangements are by Robertson Armstrong Chapel of Claude. Viewing will be held Noon until 6:00 pm Sunday at Robertson Armstrong Chapel. Mr. Chauveaux was born February 10, 1909 in Claude to Antonia A. “Tony“ and Celine Boudes Chauveaux. He married Jewell Collum on May 20, 1938 in Dalhart. He had been a lifetime resident of Claude and Armstrong County where he farmed and ranched. He loved fishing, the outdoors, and traveling. He also like to dance and listening to music. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Claude. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - his parents; his wife, on May 29, 1988; 2 sisters, Louise Swan and Mary Dooley; and a brother, Ivan Chauveaux; SURVIVORS - his son, Doug Chauveaux and wife Cyd of Spring; a daughter, Janis Chauveaux of Claude; 3 sisters, Frances Reck of Claude, Annabelle Hughes and Genia Hughes both of Amarillo; a brother, John Chauveaux of Claude; 5 grandchildren, Mark Chauveaux, Amy Inman and husband Luke, Matthew Salim, Daniel Salim and wife Sandra, and Stephen Salim; 6 great grandchildren, Lawson Inman, Ethan, Blake, Corbin, Owen, and Izzac Salim; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jean Baten of Amarillo.
