Ronald Clay Longan, 74, of Howardwick died Sunday, August 29, 2021 in Flower Mound.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Rev. Jim Fox, officiating.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Ronny was born September 3, 1946 in Clarendon to Harley and Lorelle Watts Longan. He married Janny Robinson on June 30, 1967 in Clarendon. He had been a longtime resident of Donley County, where he was a cowboy. While growing up, he loved being raised on the RO Ranch near Hedley. He loved quail hunting, and a good bird dog. He loved his family, his wife, girls, and grandkids. He loved showing his grandkids fishing, shooting, roping, playing cards, and most of all teasing all of them. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Howardwick, and loved all his church family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Clay Longan.
Survivors include his wife, Janny Longan of Howardwick; his daughters, Kyndle Boyd and husband Glenn of Throckmorton, Angie Longan of Fort Worth, Robbie Utley and husband Matt of Canyon Lake, and Penney Zimmerman and husband Noah of Flower Mound; his brothers, Phillip Longan of Springtown, Larry Longan of Morris, Oklahoma, and Jake Longan of Clarendon; his grandkids, Parker Boyd, Jack Utley, Carter Utley, Pepper Utley, Luke Zimmerman and Lane Zimmerman; and several nieces and nephews.
The family request memorials be sent to the First Baptist Church of Howardick.
