Ronald Frank Carter's Obituary
SERVICES- 2:00 pm Monday, September 15, 2014 in the First Baptist Church in Shamrock with Eddie Maxwell and Gary Oldham, officiating.
INTERMENT- Plymouth Cemetery in Samnorwood.
After the committal service Monday, a reception for family and friends will be held at the Samnorwood Baptist Church.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Ronald was born April 6, 1953 in Wellington to Sam and Norma Carter. He attended Samnorwood schools, graduating in 1971. He attended Clarendon College. He farmed and ranched his entire life. On July 19, 1975 Ronald married the love of his life, Rosa Day Oldham. He was an active member of the community, serving on the Samnorwood school board and served on the Board of Directors of the Wellington Farmers CO-OP for 25 years. Ronald was a lifetime member of Samnorwood Baptist Church. He was a generous person, a caring husband and father and a very proud papa.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY- his father, Sam Carter; and his son, Luke Carter.
SURVIVORS- his wife, Rosa Carter of Lutie; his mother, Norma Carter of Seminole; 2 sons, Levi Carter and wife Brooke of Plymouth and Micah Carter and wife Magen of Wellington; a daughter in law, Wendy Carter Patterson of McLean; 2 brothers, Brad Carter of Shamrock and Tony Carter of Seminole; and He will be missed by his 3 adoring grandchildren, Caden, Carsen, and Hayes Carter.
