Born on July 15, 1966, in Turkey, TX, to Roman and Lucia (Gonzalez) Rodriguez, Roman was one of 12 children. A lifelong resident of Hall County, he lived a life filled with hard work, humor, and, above all, a deep love for music.
From a young age, Roman developed an incredible talent for music. Self-taught, he could pick up any instrument and play it by ear. His true passion was singing and playing guitar and keyboard, and he spent much of his life playing in a band with friends. Roman’s band played at local restaurants, won several battle of the band contests, and brought joy to everyone who heard them perform. He was also a member of his Catholic church, where he loved to sing, further sharing his gift with his community.
Roman was known for his infectious sense of humor. He had an unmatched ability to make people laugh. Whether he was pulling playful pranks on his family or sitting down to watch a scary or funny movie, his presence was a source of joy and lightheartedness.
In addition to his love for music and laughter, Roman was a hard worker who spent many years hoeing cotton and taking on various odd jobs. Roman’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of music, laughter, and the unshakable bonds of love.
Roman is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Francisco and Lois Rodriguez; and a sister, Romana Rodriguez.
He is survived by three brothers, Thomas, Bruno, and Santiago Rodriguez; and five sisters, Maria Yolanda Galvan, Margarita R. Ortega, Raquel R. Cruz, Santos Gloria Reyes, Candelaria Salinas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
