Rojelio “Jelo” “Roy” Ramirez, of Pampa died Monday, February 12, 2018 in Amarillo. Rojelio Ramirez rode over the horizon and found his greener pastures. He was 51.
Roy was born April 17, 1966 in Tarzan, Texas to Jesus and Guadalupe Ramirez. He was the 10th of 11 children. He was quick to smile and crack a joke. Often at the expense of his brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. He loved his horses, roosters, and younger women not necessarily in that order. He loved his family, friends, and he believed that everyone was fair game to his brand of humor. He loved classic country and Spanish drinking music but he mostly loved being surrounded by his friends and family. Making sure that he was the center of attention. He leaves behind a legacy of funny stories, hearty laughter, and so many great memories for all of us to remember him by.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 4 brothers.
Survivors include his brothers and sisters, Rey Ramirez of Grand Falls, Rudy Ramirez of Crane, Maria Noriega of Grand Falls, Celia Rodriguez of Dallas, Elvira DeLeon of Shamrock, and Rafael Ramirez of Las Vegas, NV; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
