SERVICES – 2:00 PM Monday, November 30, 2015 in the First Baptist Church in Memphis with Rev. R.H. Hamilton, as the eulogist, and Rev. Charles Coleman, officiating.
INTERMENT – Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.

Robert Carlton Brewer was born on July 6, 1940 in Memphis, Hall County, Texas, he was the 1st son of Virgie Marshall and the late Carlton Brewer. Robert graduated from Morningside High School in 1959. He worked for the Memphis Compress for a number of years, the State Highway Department, Hall County road and bridge, and Panhandle Community Service as a bus driver for 15 years in July 2006 he retired. He was a certified locksmith. He united with New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in 1976 under the leadership of Rev. R.H. Hamilton. He was ordained as a deacon on November 11, 1977 where he served faithfully until his health failed, and he was unable to attend. On November 23, 2015, he was called to eternal rest.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – his father; grandparents; his brother; and several cousins.
SURVIVORS- Those left to mourn his loss, his mother, Virgie Marshall; his wife of 51 years, LaNita Brewer; a daughter, Sharon Hearn and husband Hosea; a son, Darryl Smith; his grandchildren, Ashley McKay, Carlton Hearn, and Jene Smith; great grandchildren who were the light of his life, Ma’Kaila Childs, Drayton Childs, Keonna Hearn, Datren Hearn, and J’Niyah Hearn; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
