For so many years he opened the back of his store so the Boy Scouts could sell Christmas trees. He was always the place to shop for hunting and small appliances. Really, really meant a lot to me.RIP

I worked for Robert at Adams Hardware during my high school years. Robert taught me many valuable lessons of work ethics and preparing for adult life. He was not only a boss, but was a mentor and friend as well as a father figure for me for my remaining adolescent years before leaving home to start my life in the world.
I love this kind and caring man and will always cherish the memories of the time we spent together.
I wish peace and comfort for all of Robert’s family in the coming days. May you always cherish the great memories you made with him.

So sad to hear of Robert's passing. I worked for him at his hardware store in high school and have so many fond memories of him. He taught me so much and was always very kind and supportive of me through the years. Kyle Adams/South Padre Island TX
I have known Robert for many years and he was always so kind and a pleasure to be around. You could feel the goodness in his heart and the love he had for his community. He will be greatly missed. I pray that knowing his body is completely healed will bring comfort to his family during this most difficult time. Just think of the smile on his face right now as he walks with his Lord and Savior. May you feel God's comfort, peace and strength as you walk through the coming days.
