Services will be 10:00 am Thursday, September 3, 2015 in The Chapel at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis with Rev. Daniel Downey, officiating.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Richard Liner left his many friends and family here on earth August 31,2015. Richard was born April 29,1930 to Floyd and Leona Liner. He was the youngest of two boys. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph, and by both of his parents. Richard married Lorene Lowe in 1960 and was married for 38 years before her death, March of 1998.
Richard and Lorene had three children. Mike, of Lubbock, Texas; Chris, of Memphis, Texas; and Kelli, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Richard is survived by 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Richard was a 1946 graduate of Memphis High School. After completing high school, Richard went on to continue his education at Clarendon Junior College and West Texas State University. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1949. He served as a sergeant of a tank company in Korea from 1950-1952.
Richard returned to Memphis and began working at City Garage until 1959 when he purchased OK Tire where he was owner and operator until his retirement in 1995.
Richard was a long-term member of the Memphis volunteer fire department where he also served as fire chief. He was a member of the American Legion and the First Christian Church.
Richard was best known for his positive attitude, kindness and love that he shared with family and friends. Please join our family as we say goodbye and share our wonderful memories of a life well-lived.
