Richard Castro, 77, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in Memphis, Tx.
Family Directed Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Memphis with Father Marco Gonzales, officiating. Rosary will begin at 3:00 pm, mass will follow at 4:00 pm.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Richard was born on April 12, 1940 in Stinton to Lucio and Santos Serna Castro. He married Irene Aguero on November 30, 1962 in Memphis. He enjoyed watching western movies, playing dominoes, and cheating a poker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Raul Castro; and two sisters Rebecca Villanueva and Rosa Palamo
Survivors include his wife Irene Castro of Memphis; one son Daniel Castro and wife Treica of Memphis; four daughters Gloria Danec and husband Frank of Pampa, Mary Flores and husband Alvin of Abilene, Veronica Bordelean and husband Chris of Easton, PA, and Anita Vaquera of Lubbock; five brothers Raymond Castro and wife Rafeala of Mission, Robert Castro and wife Lucia of Amarillo, Ray Castro and wife Hope of Gering, NE, Roy Castro and wife Santos of Gering, NE, and Reynaldo Castro and wife Lydia of Waco; three sisters Rita Mendoza of Gering, NE, Rachel Villanueva and husband Joe of Mission, and Julia Bernard of Amarillo; 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Memphis.
