Rheba and Joe were good friends of my parents. I loved going to square dancing with my parents and Rheba and Joe would always include me in the dancing. It always made my night. I would feel so grown up. We would also go to their home and the adults would play cards. Even after Kelley and I married and lived in Shamrock we would like to stop by and visit and catch up with them. Such fond memories of a dear, sweet lady.

Rheba, Joe, & Lajuanna were like my second family when I was growing up in Shamrock. They moved in next door to us when Lajuanna & I were both 4 years old. We met in my front yard that first day & became best friends immediately! I spent many Sunday afternoons with the Bailey family at Granny & Grandad Fain’s farmhouse at Lela. My fondest memories of Rheba: She was always very calm but you knew she meant business when parenting skills were called for. She was the best cook this side of Heaven…. her hot rolls & biscuits were fresh every day! She took Lajuanna & I out to the field by their 2nd house (they moved to the other side of town when us girls were in Jr High) & taught us how to drive her stick-shift when we were about 12! I haven’t been able to visit with Rheba for several years because of the many miles between our homes. But I will miss her just the same.
So enjoyed her friendship while living in Shamrock. She was a special lady.
