Ray and me go way way back. We went to the First Church of the Nazarene together for a long time when we were younger and I'm thankful above all that he knew the lord. Ray and Randy both tried their best to turn me into a cowboy and practiced roping together a lot. It just never took.lol. This man was dear to my heart and helped me in many ways throughout our adult lives. I love you much Ray and I know ill see you again someday.

Ray and I grew up as ranch kids. When I was little all of my friends were boys from the ranches. My mom bought me a baton for my birthday. Ray and Randy came over to visit and I showed them my new baton and tried to demonstrate what to do with it. Ray said, “I have a better idea, let’s play baseball with it. So we played baseball with my new baton and had a great time. Ha. Another special memory is when Ray went on his Walk to Emmaus. I went to his candlelight service. He was incredibly moved by the Emmaus walk and I remember more than one conversation about God with him and special that walk was to him. He was a lifelong friend to me. I will cherish memories. I remember Ray and Mike was at his mom’s house. I went by Dyer’s BBQ and got lunch for everyone. Enjoyed the visit.

Ray and Randy came over and I showed them the baton and tried to demonstrate what it was supposed to do. Ray said, "I have a better idea, we could play baseball with it." So, we played baseball and had a big time. A lot more fun than twirling. Ha Later on in life, he went on a walk to Emmaus and it was a life changing experience for him. He and I visited about his walk and how much it meant to him. He was a lifelong dear friend to me.
I will never forget when I lost my dad, Ray and I were in eight grade and he stopped by the house with a card with money in it for me. Ray had the biggest heart the size of Texas! RIP my friend!❤️💙
