Robert Joesiah "R.J." Smith, 91, of Wheeler died Saturday, July 18, 2020 in Canadian.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 22, 2020 in Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler with Randy Jackson, officiating.
Viewing will be held from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Due to the Coronavirus, we are only allowing 5 people to enter the funeral home at a time.
If attending the service, please be prepared to maintain social distancing practices.

R.J. was born September 24, 1928 in Wheeler County to James Lewis and Mabel Brown Smith. He farmed and ranched and was in the sand and gravel business with Otis Ford. He was co-owner of Wheeler Redi Mix for 28 years. He lived in Wheeler County all of his life. He loved to dance. He was a member of the Wheeler Volunteer Fire Department. He loved and supported the Wheeler Mustangs. RJ was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Sherman, Venson, and James Lewis Smith, Jr.; and a sister, Mabel Alice Smith Johnson.
He is survived by nephews and nieces; great nephews and nieces; and great great nephews and nieces that he loved with all of his heart.
