Priscilla Jo Vermillion, 94, of Shamrock passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021 in Shamrock.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Shamrock Cemetery
with Blake Mangus, officiating.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Priscilla Jo Pinkerton Vermillion was born July 3, 1927 in Weinert, TX. She graduated from Weinert High School in May 1944.
She married Willard C. Glover March 22, 1949. He died November 30, 1973. While married to him she worked for 1 year at Federal Land Bank in Wheeler. She then worked for 11 years as bookkeeper of White House Lumber Co.
She married John W. Vermillion on November 27, 1974. He died January, 2001. Priscilla worked 32 years and was 24% owner of Shamrock Texas Newspaper. She owned a photo shop at 812 S. Main for 10 years. She was a very hard working woman. She was a member and contributed a lot of her time to the United Methodist Women’s Organization. Priscilla cooked meals for the boosters for the First United Methodist Church for many years, and she delivered meals on wheels to the community for several years. She loved to bake and craft items for her church Bazaar and give to family as gifts. Her most recent position in the community was working for the Shamrock Museum archiving “Find a Grave” data.
Priscilla was preceded in death by both husbands, her parents, Dewey and Ruth Pennington and her sister, Ellen Laverne Edwards.
She is survived by nephews, Arlis Edwards, Randy Edwards and Niece Dian Edwards.
Several Great and Great Great Nieces and nephews that cared for her greatly.
