Peggy Jane Hook was born to Robert Creed Baker and Callie Eddings Baker in Colgate, Ok on September 7, 1939. She moved to Amarillo 46 years ago, from Oklahoma. She married Denzil Hook Sr. in 1956 and they had 4 children. She worked as a seamstress for DK Freeman Costume Shop. She was cake decorator, a beautician, an artist, a singer, a yodeler, and a dancer. She never met a stranger.
SURVIVORS – 1 son Denzil “Hoss” Hook and wife Teresa of Amarillo; 2 daughters Mary Mayes and husband Gary of Amarillo and Sarah Ewing of Happy; 2 brothers Maxie Baker and wife Judy of Childress and Ronnie Baker and wife Peggy of Buoy; 1 sister Rosie Wright and husband Doug of Hedley; 13 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
PRECEDED- her parents; 1 daughter Sheila McCoy; 5 brothers Robert Baker, Don Baker, Hubert Baker, Leon Baker, and Paul Baker; 4 sisters Lillie Hook, Callie Jo Stephens, Zora Stephens, and Mildred Beatie.
MEMORIALS - In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations sent to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
