Paul Calcote's Obituary
Paul Calcote, 56, of Kelton passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 peacefully in his home.
Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 27, 2019 in the Shamrock Community Center with Minister Max McClendon and Cottie Tarbet officiating. Burial will follow in Kelton Cemetery in Kelton.
Viewing will be from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM on Thursday.

Paul Wayne (Neuhaus) Calcote was born on August 21,1963 in Shamrock, Texas to Glen and Linda Neuhaus. Following Glen’s death, Thurman Calcote married Linda and loved Paul as his own son. Thurman adopted Paul and taught him to love the land. Paul lived in Wheeler County his entire life. He was a graduate from Kelton High School in 1983.
Paul married the love of his life, Brandi Smith on December 6, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They resided in Kelton, Texas. Paul was the Assistant Fire Chief for the Kelton Volunteer Fire Department and was part of the department for 40 years. Paul, an avid horseman, was part of the Texas High Plains Drifters in the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association and won Rookie of the Year in 2017. He belonged to the Church of Christ in Shamrock. Paul loved hunting big game, farming/ranching, his family and his animals. He loved to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Paul was preceded in death by his father Glen Neuhaus, his dad Thurman Calcote, his grandparents Riley and Mattie Garner, Hugh and Lucille Neuhaus and Jim and Goldie Calcote. His granddaughter Oaklee Rai and his uncles Albert, Donald and John Neuhaus.
Paul is survived by his wife Brandi Calcote of the home, his mother Linda Calcote of Kelton, Texas, his two daughters Hailey Calcote of Graham, Texas and Shyla Boyd and husband Shane of Shamrock, Texas and one son Brody Calcote. In addition to his children he extended his love to Erica Gray and husband Cody of Shamrock, Texas. His granddaughter Koree Nikole and grandson Gannon Buck. His sister Leslie Berry and husband Cecil of Wheeler, Texas. Two nieces Randi Blackstock and husband Billy Wayne of Wheeler, Texas, Lindsey Gillespie and husband Josh of Kelton, Texas. Three nephews Jared, Jake and Levi Shaw of Dimmit, Texas. One great nephew Blane Paul Blackstock, two great nieces Mattie Blackstock and LaRue Gillespie; a special uncle, Randy Garner of Kelton; and a host of many family and friends.
