Oh, Elmonette, I am so sorry to read of Paul's passing today in the Seiling paper . . . such a lovely man Paul was. I have such great memories of being your neighbor while we were all in school in Weatherford, the many good times. . . Bivens Drug, Grace, Paul, all part of my formative childhood. Loved the comment in the obit about "the power of profanity." It was always such a hilarious shock to hear some of the utterances that might emanate from such a sweet man!. . . I worked for Paul in the old store on Kearney for several years and in the Outpost on Hwy 287, and he was the best employer I think I have ever had. In the old store, it seemed to be a lot more fun, because it was just 3 of us, sometimes 4, and it was easier to goof off. Paul was serious when it came to business, but he was right in there when it was fun. I remember when he hired Linda, she was up at the register in front and Paul and I were working in the pharmacy, well, he laughed that laugh that he is so famous for. I thought Linda was going to have a runaway, she had no idea about the Paul Bivens laugh, she was not from the area and had just moved to Clarendon. We still laugh about that day!

I will miss Paul, immensely, deep in my heart.
