INTERMENT – Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean.

Patsy Rayona Egleson Barker passed from her earthly body this morning,
June 1, 2016. she was born on September 5, 1928 in Amarillo, Texas.
She graduated from Amarillo High School and attended Amarillo College.
She met the love of her life, James Barker when she and her family
were living in McLean for a brief time. She married James V. Barker on
June 29, 1947 in Amarillo.
Born to James and Pat were daughter Janice and son Jim. They resided
for the first 10 years 15 miles north of McLean in an oil lease camp
with Bell Oil and Gas. Then in 1958 they moved into town. Pat worked
at First Baptist Church in McLean and retired from Marie Foundations,
where she did the weekly payroll.
Pat loved her family and church. Most of all her Lord Jesus. She
worked in VBS each summer as long as she could. She also delivered
Loaves and Fishes meals. Her hobbies were knitting, sewing, enjoying
her Purple Martin houses, and working in her yard. She loved being
outside. She resided in her home in McLean until the end of 2010, when
it was no longer possible to remain there.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Raymond Egleson,
her brother Leon Egleson, and her beloved husband James V Barker.
She is survived by her daughter Janice and son-in-law John Bible of
Bloomingdale, GA. Her son Jim Barker and daughter-in-law Susan of
Freeport, TX. Grandchildren, Karie and her husband Jason Silver of Los
Angeles, CA., Jason Bible and wife Gentry of Savannah, GA., Patsy and
her husband Kenny Snider of Lucas, TX, and Jamie and her husband
Brandon Holden of Austin. Six great-grandchildren: Callan Faith
Snider, Kenneth Dale Snider (Tripp), Tatum Hope Snider, Caroline
Michelle Holden, Nori Louise Holden, and Jack Laylon Bible.
