SERVICES – 2:00 PM Saturday, February 4, 2017 in the First Baptist Church in Hedley with Rev. Mark England, pastor of the Fritch Fortress Baptist Church, officiating.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 6:30pm at the Fritch Fortress Baptist Church in Fritch.

Gaye was born November 23, 1963 in Amarillo to Bobby and Patricia Houdashell Stephens. She married Mark McGuire on July 1, 1983 in Amarillo. She had worked at the American Quarter Horse Association for 30 years before retiring in November of 2015. Prior to living in Fritch full time since 2011, Gaye had lived in Amarillo. Fritch was where she made her second home for the last 20 years where she would spend her weekends and summers with her friends cooking out and spending time with her family and friends at the lake. She was a member of the BUNCO Club in Fritch, was an avid reader, and loved making all her grandkids blankets. Gaye was most proud of her 33 years of marriage to her husband. Gaye was a member of the Fritch Fortress Baptist Church.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – her mother Patricia and step-father Rodney.
SURVIVORS – her husband, Mark McGuire of Fritch; her father and step-mother, Bobby and Maxine Stephens of Lefors; 2 sons, Kyle McGuire and wife Monica, Brad McGuire, both of Fritch; 2 sisters, Kimberly Powell and husband Jay of Maybank, TX, Connie Burnam and husband Rick of Hedley; Mimi was blessed with 4 grandchildren, Jazmyn, Scarlett, Ella, and Tristan; numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends; and her dog, Colonel.
REMARKS- Family will receive friends at the funeral home for visitation on Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00 pm.
MEMORIALS- The family request memorials be sent to the Harrington Cancer Center in Amarillo.
