Patsy June Carr Henry, 87, of Shamrock passed Wednesday, May 03, 2023 in Wheeler.
Services will be Monday, May 08, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church, Shamrock, Texas with Rev. Mark Howard, officiating.
Burial in Shamrock Cemetery, Shamrock, Texas.
Patsy was born June 20, 1935 in Shamrock to Walter and Clara Eleanor Tugwell Carr. They lived in Shamrock but moved to Dallas shortly after she was born. They lived in Dallas until she was fourteen and then they moved back to Shamrock. Patsy graduated from Shamrock High School in 1953. She married Ransome Henry on June 20, 1953 in Wellington. Patsy was a homemaker until 1971 when at that time she began working for Dr. Cobb for 15 years and Dr. Doebelle for 10 years. At age 50, she went back to nursing school and began working in the hospital and nursing home. She was a Pharmacy Tech for many years, a school nurse in Shamrock, and she took care of special needs children. Patsy was a Girl Scout leader, PTA President, Band Boosters President, and she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School where she was a member of First Baptist Church.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother; Jerry Carr, a sister; Debbie Bills and a Son-in-law Clarence Coffey.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Renee Warren and Bill of Shamrock and Randa Coffey of Sweetwater, OK; a brother Bobby Carr and Melba of Victoria; a brother-in-law Larry Bills of Georgetown; a sister-in-law Linda Carr of Wichita Falls; 2 grandchildren Lindsay Coffey of Sweetwater, OK and Matt Warren and Kandra of Wheeler; a niece Angie Gollihare and Scott of Georgetown, 3 nephews David Bills of Dallas, Bobby Carr, Jr. and Annette of Annapolis, MD and Roy Henry of Shamrock.
