LOVINGTON, NEW MEXICO
GRAVESIDE SERVICES - 10:00 am Thursday, June 30, 2011 in Claude Cemetery in Claude with Rev. Dan Carter, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Claude, officiating.
INTERMENT- Claude Cemetery in Claude.
Arrangements are by Robertson Armstrong Chapel of Claude and Oak Park Hills Chapel of Walnut Creek, CA.
Viewing will be Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM with Visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
A reception will be held after the service on Thursday at the Family Life Center at the First United Methodist Church in Claude.
Pamela died peacefully on Friday, June 24 in Walnut Creek, California with her children by her side.
Pam was born May 31, 1943 in Amarillo, Texas. Her parents were Bonna Delle and Harold Haddock of Lovington, New Mexico. She was raised by her grandmother and grandfather Errole and Jacob Rue Porter in Claude until she moved to Lovington at the age of 12. Pam was a long-time resident of Comfort, Texas and most recently resided in Lovington, New Mexico. She received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from West Texas State University in 1966. Pam the continued her education with post graduate studies at Our Lady of the Lake and Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. She taught in San Antonio, Comfort, and Bandera, Texas for over 20 years. She was an extremely dedicated teacher that was able to teach, discipline her class, have the respect of her students, and still be well liked. Pam married Tommy Tatsch at the County Justice of the Peace in Comfort on September 23, 1989. Together they loved shopping and eating out. Through the years, Pam deeply enjoyed arts and crafts, camping and spending time with her family. She always shared an affinity with animals. She loved her cats, rescuing and providing a home to as many as 11 at one time. She had numerous dogs through the years, as well as chickens and ducks. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the wonderful, dedicated and caring nurses at Lea County General Hospital and at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Lovington, NM.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - her parents; and a brother, Gary Haddock.
SURVIVORS - her husband, Tommy Tatsch of Lovington, NM; a son, Brittan Byerly and wife Susan of Midland; a daughter, Angela Eckstein and husband Tom of Walnut Creek, California; an aunt, Catheryn Porter of Claude; a cousin, Cindy and husband, Gordon; and her grandchildren, Chelsea, Cole, Cade, Madison and Sophie.
