Oceola "Scotty" Scott Boomer's Obituary
CLAUDE SERVICES- 10:00 am, Monday, March 27, 2006, at the First United Methodist Church in Claude, with Rev. Janet Edwards, Pastor, officiating. INTERMENT- with Eastern Star rites in Claude Cemetery Mrs. Boomer was born on a farm between Claude and Goodnight to Samuel and Beulah Scott on March 25, 1915. She married Lynn Boomer on September 5, 1936 in Claude, Texas. She was a life long resident of Claude. She was a homemaker. She was active in the community throughout her life and also was involved with many volunteer activities. She had been past worthy matron of the Claude Eastern Star, and a member for well over 50 years. She was also a member of Methodist Unity Study Club, the Friday bridge group, Library and Cemetery Boards, and for years served on Meals on Wheels. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Claude for more than 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn on February 14, 1972 and 1 great grandchild, Jada Bates. She is survived by 1 daughter, Ginger Kennedy of Ft. Worth; 1 son, Scott Boomer of Claude; 3 grandchildren, Kelli Kennedy and husband Frank, Kimberley Kennedy Cuero and husband Ruben, Kathy Sanchez and husband Ram; and 5 great grandchildren, Neenah Cuero, Leelah Cuero, Hunter Bates, Cynthia Sanchez, and Mary Beth Sanchez. The family requests that memorials be sent to the First United Methodist Church in Claude, Claude Volunteer Fire Department, Claude EMS or a favorite charity.
