GRAVESIDE SERVICES - 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Jeff Messer, Chaplain of Bivins Memorial Nursing Home in Amarillo, officiating.
INTERMENT - Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Mrs. Bowling was born November 30, 1912 in Chicota, Texas to Marion Lafayette & Maggie Emma Wortham Gustin. She married Jhrome Homer Bowling on November 9, 1930 in Hollis, OK. Noval helped raise her brothers and sisters. She did sewing for family and friends and worked in the cotton fields. She also helped run a grocery store with her parents while growing up and also sang in the choir. She lived through the depression. She and Jhrome made their home in Windy Valley and Lelia Lake, Texas where they raised their family. She was a homemaker and a Christian.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY- her parents; her husband on March 28, 1988; a daughter, Madeline Longley; a grandson, Tommy Longley; and several brothers and sisters.
SURVIVORS- 2 daughters, Gale Duke of Canyon, & Othelia Head of Panhandle; 2 sons, Dwight Bowling of Stigler, OK, & Greg Bowling of Canadian; a brother, Junior Gustin of Paris, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, & 22 great great grandchildren.
