i called her wamwam… she was my dads momma i miss her alot
Mrs. Little taught several of my children at St. Vincent de Paul Elementary Catholic School in Pampa in the late 70's or early 80's. She was a gracious lady. Most of my children (Lara, Steven, John and Erin) were lucky to have had her as their teacher. They have gone on to graduate from college and grad school.
I have wonderful memories of attending Mrs. Mears' private kindergarten in her back yard in 1953-54 before the days of public school kindergarten. She prepared us for first grade and for life in so many ways. I especially remember the "tea" we held for our mothers and grandmothers and our graduation on the Clarendon College stage where classmate Melinda Moore McAnear sang "How Much Is that Doggy in the Window?". Mike, I am thinking of you and all Nova's family.
Although I had Ms. Brandon as my first grade teacher, we were allowed to visit Ms. Little's class for "show and tell". My fondest memory of her was the day I took a SNAKE in a coffee can to show the class...Ms. Little took one look in the can, held her nose and then screemed. Thirty - first graders followed suit. She told me I was a very "special"little girl!
SORRY TO HEAR OF HER PASSING ! SHE WAS MY FIRST GRADE TEACHER . ALWAYS FOND MEMORIES WHEN I THINK OF HER. MAY GOD COMFORT YOUR FAMILY AT THIS TIME.
I met her while she was at the Meredith House in Pampa. For the short time I've known her, she was a spark in my life. I loved listening to her stories. I really thought a lot of her. She will be missed greatly.
Mike - You're Mother was such a sweet person and touched the lives of so many of us in our younger years. You and the family are in my prayers.
Dad, I am sorry I will not be able to attend the funeral. But know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and my sister on this day. I love you all. Give Makaya hugs and kisses from me. Love you allVeronica and family
I have many memories of Mrs. Mears. She was my kindergarden teacher a little over 61 years ago. We always had a lot of fun learning everything we would need to know to start to school.
I have fond memories of Nova in her teaching days, and am so sorry to hear of her demise. She was a wonderful person.
