MEMPHIS MEMORIAL SERVICES - 10:30 am Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in the First Baptist Church Chapel in Memphis with Rev. Daniel Downey, officiating. INURNMENT- will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis. Cremation and Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis. Norman Pat Archer was born on January 14, 1947 in San Diego, California to Samuel and Ottice Archer. His family moved to Memphis, Texas was a baby where he attended school. He married Jan Gregory on August 7, 1970 in Memphis. Together they had two daughters, Jana Kay and Melissa. For 25 years, Norman and his wife owned and operated Archer’s Redi-Mix Concrete. Afterwards, Norman was self-employed as a truck driver for over 15 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Memphis. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY- his parents, Samuel and Ottice Archer; one sister, Maxine Lemons; and a one brother, Al Archer. SURVIVORS – his wife, Jan Archer of Memphis; 2 daughters, Melissa Stutes and husband Chris of Lafayette, LA and Jana Gonzalez and husband Val of Memphis; 3 grandchildren, Ben Gonzalez, Eli Gonzalez, and Eliana Gonzalez of Memphis; 2 brothers, OC Archer and wife Nadine of Hurst, and Bill Archer and wife Deanna of Amarillo; 2 sisters, Annie Mae Brown of Forrest City, Arkansas, and Rosemary Hazeltine of San Diego, California; and numerous nieces and nephews. MEMORIALS – The family requests that memorials be to Hall County EMS.
