Noelia Torres' Obituary
Noelia Torres, 74, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in Amarillo.
Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Memphis, with Father John Sangabathini officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Robertson Funeral Directors Heritage Chapel, with a Rosary to be recited at 4:00 PM.
Arrangements are under the care of Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Noelia was born on September 2, 1951, in Edinburg, Texas, to Placido and Genoveva Garza Casas. She made her home in Amarillo for the past 60 years, where she built a life centered on love, family, and generosity.
She found joy in dancing, caring for animals—especially those in need—and spending time at the casinos. Noelia had a deep love for photography and cherished capturing moments with those she loved. Above all, she was devoted to her family. She treasured time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and was known as a constant provider who gave selflessly to others.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Martin Casas.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Isidoro Torres, Sr. of Amarillo; her son, Isidoro Torres, Jr. and wife Flower of Memphis; her daughter, Lydia Chavez and husband Miguel of Amarillo; and her siblings: Jose and Mary Casas of Memphis, Texas; Olga and Gabriel Garza of Amarillo, Texas; Dora and Rual Ruiz of Houston, Texas; Aminta and Cipriano Serna of Amarillo, Texas; Norma and Juan Perez of Elsa, Texas; Mary and Ricky Ruiz of Altus, Oklahoma; and Placido Jr. and Jackie Casas of Memphis, Texas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Noelia will be remembered for her warmth, her generous spirit, and the deep love she shared with all who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
