Noble Elder was born March 26, 1918 in Wesley, OK to William "Bill" and Carrie Mongahan Elder. He married Doris Vick on January 5, 1940 in Wellington, TX. Mr. Elder lived in the Abra community most of his life and was involved in farming and ranching. He was a toymaker, writer and musician. He wrote "Deep Elm Blues" and taught Roger Miller how to play the guitar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, one brother, three sisters and one great granddaughter.
He is survived by 1 daughter - Mary Daniel & Don - Ardmore, OK; 1 Special Son - Bill Graves & Oreta - Shamrock; 2 Grandchildren - Chris Henley & Kim - Coppell and Waylon Henley - Ardmore; 3 Great Grandchildren - Jonathan Henley, Preston Henley and Parker Henley - Coppell
