I remember her rocking the babies at the kitchen table singing “Let me watch my children grow to see what they become. Lord, don’t let that cold wind blow because I’m too old to die young”. I never knew how she kept that kitchen chair from tipping over as she rocked, but it never did! She has truly gotten to see all her children grow! Thank you for taking care of me Nana…even though I was not one of your own. You always made me feel at home! You are loved by many and will be missed!
Such sweet childhood memories of such a wonderful family. The Sanders home was my favorite place to visit. Such a large family and so much love!
The many times my family played music with the Woodard’s are also fond memories.
Prayers for your family.
I have so many wonderful memories of sweet Aunt Joyce, but the one that I remember the most is when we would come in to Hedley to visit everyone I would run in granny’s house give her a big hug and then I would run down to Joyce’s!I still see her in the kitchen cooking and making sure we had something to eat with a glass of sweet tea!I would get up in the mornings from granny’s and run down to Joyce’s because she woul let me have coffee and she would fix it perfect with a little sugar and milk!I could on for days with stories!I love you Aunt Joyce and I know you are probably having a cup of coffee with everyone and enjoying seeing them all!❤️🙏
