Nancy Castillo's Obituary
SERVICES – Catholic Mass will be celebrated in Spanish at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 2, 2016 in the Trinity Church in McLean with Rev. Nicholas Gerber, as the celebrant. Following Mass, services will continue in English in the Trinity Church in McLean with Rev. Thacker Haynes, officiating. A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday in the Trinity Church.
INTERMENT – will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean after morning services in the Trinity Church.

Nancy was born June 21, 1992 in Cerritos, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Ana Luz Montoya and Gustavo Castillo. She had been a resident of McLean for 21 years. She was a graduate of McLean High School where she played Basketball and Tennis and was a member of the McLean Lady Tigers state runner up team in 2010 and was a State Qualifier in Tennis for 2 years. After High School, Nancy had a full scholarship t0 Frank Phillips College where she played basketball and later graduated with an Associate’s degree. She enjoyed traveling and skiing. She had also volunteered and coached little dribblers in McLean. She was a waitress at Red River Steakhouse in McLean and was always friendly to everyone she knew. She attended the Trinity Church in McLean and St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Shamrock.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – her cousins, Andres and Daniela Rojas.
SURVIVORS- her father, Gustavo Castillo of Mexico; her mother, Ana Luz Montoya of Wheeler; her stepfather, Herman Mendoza of Wheeler; her maternal grandparents, Jesus and Martina Montoya of McLean; her paternal grandparents, Aurelio and Virginia Castillo of Mexico; her brother, Alex Retana of McLean; a sister, Vanessa Mendoza of Wheeler; her uncles, Hector Montoya of Mexico, Antonio Montoya of McLean, and Arcenio Mendoza of Wheeler; her aunts, Alicia Montoya of Mexico and Rose Montoya of Wheeler; her nephew, Bryce Darsey; her closest cousins, Rudy Rodriguez of McLean, Maritza Retana of McLean, Jasmine Montoya of McLean, Gabriela Retana of Wheeler, Andres Mendoza of Wheeler, Maribel Montoya of Houston, Daniela Montoya of Houston and Mariela Rojas of Mexico; numerous other cousins; her beloved, Marshall and Tammy Hanes of McLean, and Kelly and Brian Byron of Alanreed; and her life long sisters, Tamara and Amanda Loya, Alexis Menefield, Sheri Copenhaver, and Laura Martinez.
