Myrtle Blanks' Obituary
MEMPHIS SERVICES- 2:00 pm Monday, April 9, 2012 in the Memphis Church of Christ with Tom Anderson, officiating. INTERMENT- Rowe Cemetery in Hedley. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis. Mrs. Blanks was born January 11, 1927 in Hedley to Joseph Albert and Emma McWhorter Tollett. She married Jack M. Blanks on August 19, 1946. She and her husband owned the 287 Restaurant from 1958-1978 and the Branding Iron Restaurant from 1978 to 1988. She was a former member of the Delphian Club and she loved to go to coffee with her friends. She also loved to be with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Memphis Church Of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 3 brothers; and 6 sisters. Survivors include a daughter, Madonna McLaughlin of San Antonio; a son, Albert Blanks of Memphis; 2 grandchildren, Justin Hernandez of Memphis and John David Brighton of Florida; and 3 great grandchildren, Justavian Hernandez, Jace Hernandez, and Jada Hernandez. MEMORIALS - The family suggest that memorials be to the Memphis Meals On Wheels program.
