Michael Alvin Nutt Sr.'s Obituary
Michael Alvin Nutt, Sr., age 68, of McLean, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025, in McLean.
Michael was born on May 3, 1957, in Houston, Texas, Michael was the son of Floyd Alvin and Cecil Naoma Franklin Nutt. He married the love of his life, Barbara Ann Bell, on December 11, 1981, in Marlin, Texas, and together they built a life rooted in love, commitment, and family.
A longtime resident of Lott, Texas, Michael dedicated many years of service to Falls County as a bridge foreman before retiring. In 2022, he and Barbara relocated to McLean, where they continued to share a quiet life together.
Michael was a man of many interests. He found joy in simple pleasures—spending time on his laptop, watching hunting shows, and tending to flowers and plants with a natural green thumb. His love of farming reflected his deep connection to the land and his appreciation for hard work.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, George Nutt; and his sister, Susan Nutt.
Michael is survived by his devoted wife of over 43 years, Barbara Nutt of McLean; his son, Michael Nutt, Jr. and wife Kelsey of McLean; his daughter, Brande Karr of Fort Worth, Texas; his brother, Garland Nutt of Marlin, Texas; and three beloved grandchildren, Braylon, Bransyn, and Brazos. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Inurnment will take place at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin, Texas.
Cremation and arrangements are under the care of Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean, Texas.
