Michael Raymond Crowell's Obituary
Michael Raymond Crowell, 72, of Claude, Texas, passed away on June 5, 2025. Born on July 23, 1952, in Claude, he was a lifelong resident of the community he cherished deeply.
Michael was a standout All-State football player in his youth and later shared his love for sports by coaching tee-ball, leaving a lasting impact on many young athletes. He was instrumental in growing Crowell Water Well, a family business established in 1896, into one of the most respected and successful water well companies in Texas.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Annette Crowell; sons, Douglas Crowell and Cash Crowell ; daughters, Laci Crowell and Anita Koch; six grandsons; two granddaughters; and four great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Claire Crowell, and his stepmother Vera Crowell.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Claude Baptist Church, with interment following at Claude Cemetery.
Viewing will be held at Robertson Claude Chapel on Sunday, June 8th from 12 - 4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Claude Cemetery Association, PO Box 189, Claude, TX 79019, and the American Windmill Museum in Lubbock, Texas, honoring Michael's appreciation for history and innovation.
Michael's legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a pillar of his community. His memory will forever inspire those who were fortunate enough to be part of his life.
