Melville Mills' Obituary
CLARENDON SERVICES - 1:00 pm Monday, September 19, 2005 at the Robertson Chapel of Memories in Clarendon with Rev. Melvin Turner, retired Methodist minister from Wichita Falls, officiating. INTERMENT - Citizens Cemetery Mr. Mills was born in Vera, Texas. He married Ruth Geneva Wallace on June 14, 1936 at Wichita Falls. He served in the US Army during World War II and moved to Amarillo in 1943. Mel retired from Panhandle Fruit Co. after 27 years. He and Ruth built a home and moved to Howardwick in 1970. He was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church in Clarendon. He and his wife were organizers of the Donley County Senior Citizens Center in Clarendon. He was a loving husband and father. SURVIVORS - his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Sharon Thomas of Clarendon; a son, Ray Mills of Dallas.
