McLEAN GRAVESIDE SERVICES- 2:00 pm Thursday, January 6, 2011 in Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean with Rev. Thacker Haynes, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church of McLean, officiating. INTERMENT- Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean. Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean. Mrs. Brown was born May 14, 1918 in Avery, Collingsworth County, Texas to Jesse Harris and Hester Ellen Holcomb Grogan. She had been a resident of the McLean area all of her life. She married Clyde Newton Brown in 1938 at McLean. She had worked at Marie Foundations for 25 years and then at Corrines Fashions for 15 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Red Hatters, the United Methodist Women, the McLean Young at Heart Senior Citizens Association, and the First United Methodist Church in McLean. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY- her parents; by her husband in 2000; by two sons, Richard Clyde Brown and Ronald Alan Brown; by three brothers, Hugh Grogan, Jesse “Doc” Grogan, Ross Grogan; and a sister, Mary Francis Powell. SURVIVORS- include 2 grandchildren, Quinton Brown and wife Michele of McLean, Robin Luna of Shamrock; 7 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.
