McLEAN SERVICES - Graveside services at 11:00 am on Friday, March 12, 2010 in Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean with Rev. Thacker Haynes, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in McLean, officiating. INTERMENT - Hillcrest Cemetery. ARRANGEMENTS - Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean. Mrs. Powell was born September 16, 1910 in Collingsworth County to Jesse Harris and Hester Ellen Holcomb Grogan and had lived in McLean for 55 years. She married Claude Milton Powell in May 1929 at White Deer. She was a homemaker and was an active member of the Senior Citizens Association and involved in a number of activities. She was also actively involved with the United Methodist Women at the McLean First United Methodist Church where she had been a member for many years. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - her parents; her husband in 1980; and 3 brothers, Hugh Grogan, Jesse "Doc" Grogan, and Ross Grogan. SURVIVORS - a sister, May Belle Brown of Shamrock; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews.
