Mary K. “Kathy” Watson, 79, of Memphis, died on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 in Memphis.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis with Rev. Jackie Blum, officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Kathy was born on February 25, 1941 in Clarksville, Red River Co., Texas to Harley Frances and Doris Elizabeth Woods Kenemore. She married Doyle Watson in May of 1987 in Childress. Kathy was a lifetime resident of Hall County, as she had moved from Lakeview to Memphis in the 1950’s. She had been a cashier at Owens’s Supply prior to her retirement. Kathy was a devoted Sunday School teacher for thirty plus years and always enjoyed helping others. She would cook meals for friends and family and loved visiting with everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doyle Watson in 2012; 2 brothers, Donnie and Gail Kenemore; and by a sister, Betty Cruise.
Survivors include 3 sons, Keith Barnett and wife Mille of Amarillo, Allan Barnett of Memphis, Jerry Barnett and wife Dyane of Amarillo; 4 sisters, Wanda Canida, Pat Crump, Dianne King, Jan Moss; and by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that donations be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
