MEMORIAL SERVICES – 2:00 pm Saturday, November 17, 2012 in the First United Methodist Church in Shamrock with Rev. Gene Weinette and Rev. Jarrod Neal, officiating.
Cremation and Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Mary was born April 26, 1937 in Cordell, Oklahoma to Thomas Young and Agnes Fern Lane. She married William Robert “Bill” Burcham on August 26, 1956 in Cordell. Mary had been a school teacher prior to her retirement where she taught at White Deer, Samnorwood, Kelton, Shamrock, and Claude. She had been a longtime resident of Shamrock and Claude. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, reading, jewelry beading, and collecting different rocks. She also played the organ. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Claude where she was involved in the United Methodist Women and also served as the choir director and the director of the Hand Bells.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY – her parents; her husband on July 9, 2006; and a brother, Tommy Lane.
SURVIVORS – 2 daughters, Dee Reeder and husband Robby of Shamrock, and Elizabeth Burcham of Amarillo; 2 grandchildren, Brad Reeder and wife Ashley and Reiss Reeder all of Shamrock; 2 great grandchildren, Deshya and Kyleigh Reeder; 4 nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and special friends, Gene and Brandi Weinette and their children Tristan and Caleb Weinette all of Wellington.
MEMORIALS - The family request memorials be sent to the Texas Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital or a favorite charity.
