Mary Charles Nunn Berten, 93, of Shamrock died Saturday, August 13, 2022 in Shamrock.
Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Robertson Funeral Directors in Shamrock. Burial will follow in Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Mary Charles Nunn Berten was born September 4, 1928 at home on H.B. Hill farm, on cemetery road East of Shamrock to parents, Marshall Nunn and Edna Belle Owens Nunn. She departed this life on Satruday, August 13, 2022. She lived in the Shamrock area most of her life and graduated from Shamrock High School in 1945. She married Jerry Berten in May 1964 who predeceased her. Mary worked for more than 54 years in various offices doing clerical and secretarial work. Her hobbies included reading and needle work. She loved her church and especially her Naomi Sunday School class. She served on the kitchen committee many years helping feed grieving families, and the awanas children. She also taught her class for sometime and substitute teaching in others.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Wanda Nunn Bussey; brothers, John Nunn, Ray Nunn, and Danny Nunn.
She is survived by one son, David Berten; her grandchildren, Hanna Hall, Charlie Berten, and Ethan Berten; a brother, Merril Nunn and wife Judy; a sister in law, Janis Nunn; also surviving her is nephew, Ray Bussey and Garrett Nunn; several nieces, Cathy Nunn, Lisa Magnasen, Nancy Williams, Karalee Nunn and several great nieces and nephews.
