Marshall Hanes' Obituary
Marshall Hanes, 62, of McLean died Friday, December 11, 2020 in Pampa.
Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 16, 2020 in Trinity Church in McLean with Carl Cox, Casey Carter, and Ike Hanes, officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean with Clay Reynolds, officiating.
There will be no viewing held for Marshall. On behalf of the family, please wear a mask to the services and social distancing will be in place.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of McLean.
Marshall was born September 7, 1958 in Groom to C. Delos and Ella Ann Herndon Hanes. He married Tammy Lynn McLain on March 3, 1981 in McLean. He loved horses, team roping, golfing, and going out to eat with his family. He loved taking great care of his wife, Tammy, and working in his garden with her. Marshall also loved working with his sons and was always there at every one of their events. He loved playing with his grandkids, loved people and any kid who needed help. Marshall had a favorite quote he lived by, "Love God and Love My People". He was a youth minister for kids for several years and was an active member of Trinity Church in McLean.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Gary and Carrol Hanes.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Hanes of McLean; his sons, Aaron Rice, Ike Hanes and wife Jenifer, and Tyler Hanes and fiance Tia Wheeler of McLean; his sisters, Carla Kirkland of McLean and Elaine Merz of Weatherford, Texas; his grandchildren, Ella Ann, Kress, Jayvon, Rosstyn, Khloe, Grey, and Kyanna; and several nieces and nephews, Amanda Wood and husband Cody, Destiny Gregory and husband Rhett.
The family request memorials be sent to Trinity Church Youth Group.
