Mark Alan Jameson's Obituary
Mark Alan Jameson of Shamrock, TX passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024 in Shamrock at the age of 73 years, 9 months and 12 days. The family will hold a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Shamrock, with Rocky Roberts officiating.
Cremation and Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Shamrock.
Mark was born February 18, 1951 in Rotan, TX to Glennon Jameson and Betty (Sparks) Jameson Hudson. He spent his early childhood in Rotan before moving with his family to the Texas panhandle. Mark graduated from Stinnett High School, then attended TCU in Dallas, where he studied ranch management. He loved his life as a cowboy and worked very hard farming and ranching. He enjoyed doing leatherwork, especially making saddles and other related items. Mark married Kathryne Ford on December 9, 1995. Before moving to Shamrock, he began working as a driver for FedEx and worked for them several years before retiring.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Glennon Jameson; one sister, Glenda Richardson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bennie and Joyce Ford; and his step-father, Red Hudson.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Hudson of Amarillo, TX; his wife, Katy Jameson of Shamrock; his son, Lane Jameson and wife, Robin of Tennessee; his step-children, Ty Radney of Oklahoma City, Tana Byrd of North Carolina, Shannon Henderson of Dumas and Amanda Uhl of Kansas; his step-brother, Rex Hudson of Amarillo; and numerous other family members, loved ones and friends.
