GRAVESIDE SERVICES- 4:00 pm on Monday, October 19, 2009 in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with Rev. Jess Little, Pastor of the Grace Community Bible Fellowship Church in Claude, officiating.
INTERMENT - Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Clarendon.
Mrs. Benson was born September 27, 1915 in Clarendon to Addie Martin and Frank A. White Sr. She married Hardy Lloyd Benson in January of 1935 in Clarendon. She had been a lifetime resident of Clarendon before moving to Claude 4 years ago. Gardening and painting were her favorite hobbies and she loved cooking. She was a member of the Les Beaux Arts Club and the First Christian Church in Clarendon. She loved all her family.
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY- her parents; her husband, Lloyd on June 29, 2008; 4 brothers and a sister.
SURVIVORS- a son Dr. Bernie Benson and wife Mary of Claude; a daughter, Janice Martin and husband Ronnie of Lubbock; four grandchildren, Dr. Michael Lee Benson and wife Jill of Claude, Briss Benson Mann and husband Mark of Seminole, Kelly Pederson and husband Raulie of Magnolia, and Lisa Martin Mangold and husband Dr. David Mangold of Lubbock; and eight great grandchildren.
