Marilyn Kay Knox's Obituary
Marilyn Kay Knox, 68, of Memphis, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2026, in Childress.
Cremation and arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis.
Marilyn was born on February 26, 1958, in Memphis, Texas, to Albert Mason, Sr. and Willie D. (Phillips) Brooks. She was a proud graduate of Memphis High School, Class of 1976, and later earned her associate’s degree in computer science.
Although she spent a short time living in Amarillo, Marilyn was a lifelong resident of Hall County. Throughout her life, she held a variety of jobs and was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. She worked as a certified nursing assistant, at the local foundry, and at the state school in Abilene, before retiring from the prison system.
Marilyn was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She raised two sons, Kevin and Eric, and loved her family above all else. Her grandbabies and great-grandchildren were her greatest joy. She had a vibrant spirit, always enjoying life and bringing smiles and laughter to those around her. She will be deeply missed by her many friends and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Bobby Mason, Sr.; her beloved niece, Tanissa Graves; and three great-grandchildren.
Marilyn is survived by Eddie Williams of Memphis; her two sons, Kevin Mason of Amarillo and Eric Mason of Denton; her daughters-in-law, Krystal and Sarah; her brothers, Donald Mason and Albert Mason, Jr.; her sister, Janie Wysner; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her special niece, Michelle Georage; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Marilyn’s wishes, no formal services will be held. A family gathering will take place at a later date.
Marilyn’s life was one of love, laughter, and dedication to her family, and her memory will be treasured by all who knew her.
