Marie Mildred Wilson Bartley's Obituary
CLAUDE SERVICES- 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 22, 2005, in the First United Methodist Church in Claude, with Rev. Janet Edwards, Pastor, officiating. INTERMENT- Claude Cemetery. Mrs. Bartley was born April 30, 1916 in Sulphur Bluff to Jesse W. Wilson and Alma Hutton Wilson. She married Hayden Eugene Bartley on January 17, 1934 at Dike, Texas. She had been a resident of Claude for 66 years before moving to Clarendon last year. She had been a homemaker, a waitress at the LA Cafe, and a grocery clerk at Johnny’s Grocery before her retirement. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Claude. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - her husband on May 28, 1987, and 1 sister Ora Lou Harred in 1986. SURVIVORS - 4 sons, Eddie Bartley of Clarendon, Rob Bartley of Cornelius, NC, Jerry Bartley of Plano, and Billy Bartley of Tomball; 1 daughter, Lou Ann Badger of Elko, NV; 2 brothers, Ernest Wilson of St. Francesville, Louisiana, and Joel F. Wilson of Poynor; 9 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and a host of nieces & nephews; MEMORIALS- The family requests that memorials be sent to the Hudson House in Claude, First United Methodist Church in Claude, or a favorite charity.
