Maria Yolanda Ramos' Obituary
Maria Yolanda Ramos, 75, of Amarillo died Saturday, March 17, 2018 in Amarillo.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Robertson Funeral Directors in Memphis from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Memphis with Pastor Nathan Carrington, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis.
Yolanda was born on November 2, 1942 in Mission to Andres and Teodora Martinez Garza. She married Agapito Ramos in 1958. She was a long-time member of the Jubilee Apostolic Church in Amarillo. She was one of a kind, she loved all her family near and far, as well as her church family. Her grandchildren did no wrong in her eyes and she was always so happy to see them. She welcomed everybody with open arms. She will be missed dearly but we all know she is walking the streets of gold with her loved ones in heaven. We love you, mana.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her mother; two brothers Andrew and Matias Garza; and a grandson Jason Ramos.
Survivors include her father Andres Garza of Memphis; three sisters Angelica Stout of Arkansas, Sylvia Garza of Memphis, and Sara Garza of Arkansas; seven brothers Arturo Garza of Memphis, Gabriel Garza of Amarillo, Joel Garza of Lubbock, Israel Garza of California, Moses Garza of Ohio, Joe Luis Garza of Grand Prairie, and Johnny Garza of Amarillo; four daughters Mary Narvaez and husband Isaac, Manuela Ramos, Mary Yolanda Pena, and Rosalinda Brown and husband Stacey, all of Amarillo; and a host grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be sent to the Harrington Cancer Center.
