HEDLEY SERVICES - 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Hedley with Rev. Randy Land, nephew, and Rev. Bruce Howard, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Hedley, officiating. INTERMENT - Rowe Cemetery in Hedley. Margie was born May 16, 1912, in Tell, Hall County, Texas to Zeb and Ruth Durham Land. As a young girl, Margie moved from Tell to Hedley, where she would become a lifelong resident. She married Elmore Bailey on November 2, 1933, at Hollis, Oklahoma. She had been a homemaker and worked at several nursing homes including Golden Spread Nursing Home in Amarillo and Medical Center Nursing Home in Clarendon. She loved her family and especially loved her grandkids. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hedley. PRECEDED IN DEATH BY - her husband in 1987; her parents; a son, Stanley Bailey; 4 brothers; and 6 sisters. SURVIVORS - 2 daughters, Jean Stavenhagen and husband Mac of Clarendon, and Nita Graham and husband Gary of Memphis, TX; 1 son, Terry Bailey of Hedley; a brother, Zebbie Land of Memphis, TX; 9 Grandchildren, Karen Green, Steve Stavenhagen, Joe Bailey, Cyndy Bailey, Andy Bailey, Todd Bailey, Julie Kimberlin, Kristi Wagner, Melissa Henderson; 12 great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. MEMORIALS - Rowe Cemetery Association in Hedley.
