Margaret Nell Parks' Obituary
Margaret Nell Wynn-Parks, 94 of Memphis, TX, passed away Monday Oct. 23, 2017.
Memorial services will be held Oct. 27, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Memphis, TX, 121 S. 8th St. at 10:00 am with Pastor Daniel Downey of First Baptist Church of Memphis officiating. Burial will be at Dodson Cemetery in Dodson, TX.
Margaret was born Sept. 26, 1923 in Dodson, TX to Marvin and Vey Wynn. Margaret was a long time resident of Memphis for 50 years. She was a devoted Mother to her 6 children. Margaret loved life and all whom she encountered, she was an encourager and an example of God’s love.She served her Lord in her church, her home and to those she ministered to as a nurse of 30 years. Her loving and compassionate heart touched so many an she was a shining example to her 6 children, 15 grandchildren and 30 great grand children, she became known to many as Mama Margaret.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Leon Parks, brother: Kenneth Wynn, granddaughters: Lisa Evans Kelly and Britteny Martin Huseman.
Survivors include sons: Billy Gilbert and wife Pattie of Wellington, TX, Mark Gilbert and wife Laurey of Pampa, TX, daughters: Paulette Evans of Keller, TX, Becky Jackson and husband Jimmy of Claude, TX, Debbie Wood and husband Carl of Cloudcroft, NM, Meleney Martin and husband Kenny of Groom, TX, sister: Mayrene Darnell of Weatherford, TX and 15 grandchildren and 30 great grand children; and many nieces and nephews.
