Margaret Jewelle Kite Martin, 87, of Mobeetie passed from this life on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, in Wheeler Nursing and Rehab.
Services will be 10:00 am Thursday, June 21, 2018 in Calvary Christian Fellowship Church in Shamrock with Rev. Johnny Crawford and Matt Crawford, officiating. Burial will follow at Wheeler Cemetery in Wheeler.
Arrangements are by Robertson Funeral Directors of Wheeler.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Margaret Kite Martin was born March 29, 1931 on a farm north of McLean in Gray County to George and Jewelle Johnson Kite. She attended Briscoe school and graduated from West Texas State University with a B.A. degree. She married Frank Martin on September 4, 1954. They lived in Texas, New Mexico, New Hampshire, Guam, Montana, and Oklahoma serving in the United States Air Force. She taught school in Knox City, Texas, Guam, Georgia, Wheeler, Texas and business classes to airmen at Glasgow AFB Montana. She lived in Blair, Oklahoma the last 40 years while her husband continued to work for the Air Force Civil Service. Margaret attended the First Baptist Church in Blair, Oklahoma. She helped her church in many capacities.
She is preceded in death by her husband, of 55 years, Frank Martin, Sr.; her parents, George and Jewelle Kite; and two brothers, Myrle Norman and Kirk Kite.
Survivors include two sons, Frank Martin, Jr. of Blair, Oklahoma and Raymond K. Martin and wife Jeanie of Boston, Massachusetts; one daughter, Patricia Crawford and husband Johnny of Mobeetie; grandchildren, Mandy Crawford Owens and husband Jason of Yukon, Oklahoma, Matthew Crawford and wife Jalie of Vega, Texas, Tyler Martin and fiancé Kadie of Boston, Massachusetts, Elaine Martin of Georgetown, Washington, DC., William Crutchfield and wife Elizabeth of Lawton, Oklahoma, Misty Crutchfield Tedrick of Altus, Oklahoma, Angela Martin Jenkins and husband Josh of Lawton, Oklahoma; and 12 great grandchildren.
The family request that memorials be sent to the Calvary Christian Fellowship Church in Shamrock or BSA Hospice of the Southwest in Amarillo.
