Marcus Johnson was born on July 18, 1979 in Memphis to Larry & Cleola Johnson. He received his education from Memphis ISD, graduating in 1997. He worked at the local grocery store before relocating to Pampa, Texas and was employed by United Supermarket. He started as a carry out and after sometime was promoted to his present position as the night crew supervisor. On January 24, 2003 Marcus’ life changed forever when his son Jamal Marcus was born. He was the best father any kid could ask for. He made sure his son had not only what he needed, but what he wanted. He never missed a parent, teacher meeting, a program, a band concert, or a sporting event. They were like two peas in a pod. Together they watched Different Strokes, Sanford & Son, What’s Happening, Good Times, loved the Christmas Story, and all the old movies. They could act out any scene they watched to A tee and knew every actor and actress in those movies. It was very animated and fun to watch. Best friends.
